 The Official State Arboretum features a 14,000 forest, a landscaped arboretum with 2,000 plants identified in a natural setting. Hiking trails, fishing lake, nature center and wildlife sanctuary.  Featured are America's largest selection of collector decanters and unusual steins from around the world. Among the memorabilia is a collection of Jim Beam bottles. The film presentation about the Beam Family and the early history of bourbon production is a great way to learn about a fascinating Kentucky tradition. A self-guided tour through the distilling process, an 1800's cooperage display, and a walk around the grounds gives one the feeling of going back in time over 200 years.
